I'm Matt Jones, a personal trainer in Orange County, CA. I've been in the industry for over 8 years and have done everything from group fitness to 1 on 1 training.
My experience allows me to work with a wide variety of client types such as: athletes, stay at home moms, busy professionals, and retired adults. I don't have any one population that I prefer, as each present their own unique challenges and rewards. So, anyone willing to put in the effort and maintain a positive outlook is more than welcome to train with me!
I understand that everyone is different; therefore, training is customized to the individual. My training is guided by a set of principles that can be made to fit anyone, regardless of who they are or what they do.
I work independently out of a gym in Laguna Hills, near Irvine.
A Well-Rounded Fitness Experience
I believe training should address multiple fitness qualities and favor no one in particular. All of my programs will address: strength, mobility, body composition, and endurance.
Performance should be the foundation. Fitness defined is the ability to perform a task; are you fit to perform X task? I believe all training should enhance one's ability to perform all functions of their daily life. Whether that be playing in a state championship soccer game, carrying all the groceries from the car in one trip, or simply having the ability to play with your kids.
Less is more. One of my goals in this industry is to dispel the notion that you need to be "grinding 24/7" to achieve results. That's simply not true, and more often that not will lead to regression rather than progression. I teach people how to get more with less.
